Doris Schechter was born in Vienna to Jewish parents. Forced to flee Austria for Italy, she and her family eventually settled in the United States.
She is the founder of the My Most Favorite Dessert Company, now known as My Most Favorite Food – a not to be missed bakery and restaurant in the heart of Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
Doris is also the author of the "My Most Favorite Dessert Company Cookbook" and "At Oma’s Table".
